Today we spent a lot of time testing communication between our vehicle and the infrastructure. In the competition there will be an urban scenario where the platoons start standing still and then proceed together past two cooperative traffic lights. By knowing exactly when the traffic light changes all the vehicles can start at the same time and pass through more quickly, this increases the capacity of the road and helps avoid traffic congestion.
