Saturday was the first day of the actual GCDC competition heats. We had a long day with multiple heats where vehicles of all shapes and sizes competed together. Although some teams were less cooperative than others, mainly by transmitting information of dubious quality, we managed to run a number of heats with successful multi-vendor platooning.
After this first competition day the preliminary results indicate that out of 9 competing teams Chalmers is in the lead, closely followed by Halmstad/Autopia/Futurum at a shared second place and Scoop/Annieway in third. The results are based on quite a small set of runs so performance during tomorrow's competition, especially regarding string-stability, will definitely define the final ranking.
