Last week we were invited up to test with the Chalmers team at the "City Arena" (wiki) track in Gothenburg. The track has been used for touring car racing and is located pretty much right in the middle of Gothenburg. An interesting effect we saw was how far our 5.9GHz radio range was extended, even in non-line of sight. We speculate that the metal guard-rails and shipping containers placed along the track might give rise to a wave-guide effect.
