Field Operational Testing

Seems like car manufacturers are finding their way onto youtube, even with more technical content. I found the VolvoCarsNews channel when I was looking for information on the euroFOT project.

FOT you say?

Currently several active safety technologies are being put to the test in the type of environments they are designed for, so called field operational tests (FOTs). euroFOT applies methodologies for designing FOTs developed in the FESTA project (Field opErational teSt supporT Action, interesting acronym). The FESTA guidelines, intended to harmonize FOT design, are further promoted through the FOT-Net project/platform.
